What a kind hearted man. He knew the risk but didn’t care anyway just to help that wolf out. When can we get rid of the traps? If you can’t hunt, don’t hunt or get better at it! The small type of trap is aimed at smaller animals that are not wolves. so the trapped wolf was a mistake, it's good that he freed them, but I wonder how the wolf would fair with a broken leg.
It's worth calling a wildlife vet to see if he needs treatment...anyway if you want to help him, you have to find him first. Steel jaw traps need to be banned. The wolf was saved but his foot is no doubt broken. It's not just a pinch. Who uses these traps currently? To trap what? This type of device doesn't just entrap the animal but physically damages it in the process. I hope the wolf lived. The people who lay out these traps need to spend a few days outdoors with one around their ankle and no escape.
